Inventory Accounting Specialist

Business Environment
The selected candidate will be assigned to the Finance Staff Group at the Eastover Mill. Job responsibilities will include interacting with offsite warehouse operations personnel on a day-to-day basis, as well as performing more routine financial assignments.
Primary Responsibilities
Actively participates as a member of the Finance Team and supports assigned third party warehouses and converters
Monitor & Organize Inventory accounting group mailbox, and provide support as problems arise
Monitor and follow up on aging inventory issues to ensure timely corrections
Prepare files for monthly book to book reconciliation process
Perform daily consumption and receiving reconciliations for a major consignment partner
Occasionally travel to help support physical verification of inventory (potentially up to 25%)
Assists with month end closing process by preparing accruals and other tasks
Works with third party warehouse to research and correct inventory discrepancies
Perform Packaging accounting tasks for converters
Minimum Requirements
Education – associate degree in business related field preferred or equivalent experience in a related position
One plus year of relevant experience in finance or accounting.
Excellent oral and written communications skills and the ability to work effectively with others.
Geographic flexibility
Comfortable using spreadsheet programs (Microsoft Excel) and other databases
