Regional Financial Analyst
Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of FP&A, you will be responsible for providing in-depth analysis of the financial performance in APAC and be an active business partner with the other functions to drive growth and improve profitability throughout the region. Responsible for reviewing the accuracy of numbers, and reasonableness of variance explanations of actuals vs. budget and forecast; includes reporting of key findings to Asia-Middle East management and Group Accounting.

Financial Analysis
Analyze regional variations from forecasts and prior periods to expose business/financial improvement opportunities
Provide financial support with the quarterly and annual strategic and profit plan for ASME
Regularly provide regional Commercial Teams with key operating statistics and variance analysis including budgets, forecasts, and key ratios
Development and modeling of analysis which provides root cause/s of variances
Prepare ad-hoc analysis and variance reports as required
Assist in month-end reporting and forecasting requirements when required
Drive the continuous improvement, development, and implementation of financial systems when necessary
Support data and analysis for audit / fiscal queries

Budgeting Process
Complete detailed annual budgets for the business units the position supports
Documentation and communication of all key assumptions
Diligently work with program managers and key leadership within the business unit as well as corporate and other related business units
Finalize measurable goals and commitments within multiple levels of the business unit

Digitalization
Develop dashboards on PowerBi, connecting reports to SQL server and other database
Maintain existing dashboard and provide training to users to learn about digitized reports
Identify opportunities to convert existing reports into digitized format using PowerBI
Qualifications and Preferred Skills
At least 3 years financial analysis or accounting experience, preferably gained from a progressive MNC. Experience working in regional office an advantage
Excellent communication skills
Proactive and able to take initiative
Good analytical skills as well as good business acumen
Advanced Excel & Powerpoint skills is a must
Experience with Essbase is highly desirable
Experience in Power BI is highly desirable
Education and Certification Requirements
Degree in Accountancy/ACCA
