About the Job:

 

The Export Coordinator- Documentation is responsible for preparing all documentation required for exporting shipments from the US to various destinations.

 

In This Role, You Will:
 

  • Proof ocean bills of lading and follow up with the ocean carrier if corrections are required.
  • Contact ocean carriers to requests ocean bills of lading.
  • Perform word processing and data entry assignments including document distribution letters, insurance forms, and other international shipment related documents.
  • Copy and duplicate materials; prepares and transmits emails.
  • Establish, maintain, process and/or update files, records, and other documents.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the regulations, guidelines, and/or company procedures and policies pertaining to exports and documentation and to be familiar with the applicable sources of support available whether in the form of reference books or individuals.

  • Read, interpret, and prepare applicable and required documentation as set forth in shipper’s letter of instructions, letters of credit and/or any other acceptable instructions or requirements of the clients.

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year of logistics experience.
  • Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Desired:

  • Previous experience in Ocean, Airfreight movement, or general Freight Forwarding preferred. 

Location:

This is an in-office role based in N. Charleston, SC.

Approximately 0% travel is anticipated.
