About the Job:
The position of Director of Learning & Organizational Development will have the primary responsibly for building a best-in-class L&D center of expertise that accelerates the growth and development of all employees. This position will also play a central role in implementing and facilitating the execution of Odyssey’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEI&B) strategies.
In This Role, You Will:
- Design, implement, and direct an employee development program and training curriculum to achieve strategic business goals and results.
- Consult with HRBPs, Business Leaders, and Managers to identify and prioritize Organizational Development gaps to determine learning needs.
- Develop and manage the corporate Learning Management System (LMS) to track all training throughout the organization.
- Ensure that all compliance and regulatory training and reporting requirements are met.
- Work with Talent Acquisition to ensure the employee onboarding experience includes required and optimal learning content.
- Develop, design, and deliver various training, programming, and initiatives including ones focusing on diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEI&B).
- Stay abreast of learning and development-based practices and current trends in training and education and evaluate opportunities to implement them within the organization.
- Work with the CHRO and leadership in developing a Learning and Organizational Development strategy with a focus on developing a critical talent pool and succession management, including the evaluation of high potentials.
- Foster strong relationships and serve as a strategic business partner to management regarding organizational structure, talent and leadership development, DEI&B initiatives, and culture related support.
- Facilitate a variety of in-person and virtual employee sessions, to include management development and coaching as well as diversity training sessions (example: unconscious bias, anti-racism, gender identity, allyship, etc.).
- Catalog and coordinate a calendar of mandatory training requirements across the organization.
- Assess, monitor, and communicate results of training effectiveness to CHRO and other HR leaders.
- Manage the DEI&B initiatives as well as providing analytical reports and statistics, as needed.
- Remain informed of trends in the diversity, equity, and inclusion space, and sharing relevant information as appropriate.
- Serve as a strategic partner for strategy and planning with CHRO and leadership to create an inclusive culture where belonging and growth and development are centered; and align with Company’s initiatives.
- All other duties and projects as assigned.

Required:
- 5+ years, learning & development experience including experience in a leadership capacity.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience in project managing large-scale organization-wide people programs and connecting talent management with learning strategies.
- Proactive, clear, and compelling in both written and verbal communications.
- Deep experience in learning and development including adult learning principles, design processes, blended learning techniques, as well as web based and social learning.
- Experience with design tools/eLearning platforms and Learning Management Systems.
- Relationship management skills, including the ability to work leaders with different priorities.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to facilitate interaction, communication, and teamwork between others.
- Knowledge of HR laws, regulations, policies, principles, and best practices.
- Ability to lead through influence in a matrix-ed environment and demonstrated ability to excel in a collaborative and team environment.
- Strong organizational, project management and excellent follow-through skills.
- ROI/Business Planning: ability to manage a budget and build strong business case and ROI assumptions for organizational development / learning investments.
- Experience in supporting and implementing diversity initiatives, including experience working with and creating collaborative and productive working relationships.
- Knowledge of current learning management practices, industry trends, digital learning platforms and best practices.
Desired:
- Advanced degree in Organizational Development, HR or related preferred.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification a plus.
Location:
This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule out of Danbury, CT.
Approximately 10% travel is anticipated.
