GENERAL FUNCTION:

The Administrative/Project Assistant is responsible for providing support to Indiana Alliance of YMCAs’ (Alliance) financial consultants and staff as a result of the Lilly Endowment Strengthening Indiana Ys funding. This position is funded through a 3-year grant. Primary responsibilities include assisting with Alliance events and meetings, provide administrative support to financial consultants, marketing and communication, and other general office functions.

*This is a 3 year position based on grant funding


KNOW HOW:

Minimum of three years of experience in administrative or project management role preferred

Strong project management skills with a proven track record of effectively multitasking and a high attention to detail

Must be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, proactive in approach, and possess problem-solving and analytical skills to successfully manage issues that have no precedent

Possess excellent written and oral communication skills, with outstanding interpersonal communication skills

Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds

Ability to work collaboratively with a team as well as independently

Proficient in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); technically proficient with web-based platforms

Highly motivated and innovative

Familiarity with the YMCA movement, culture, mission, and purpose.
