Description
Troubleshoot, calibrate, validate, repair, and install complex analytical and emission monitoring equipment.
- Repairs and maintains a variety of analytical equipment, CEMs, Mass Spec, GC’s, and other process analyzers. Installs new analytical equipment.
- Reviews/directs contractor on analytical equipment installations.
- Maintains maintenance records on all analyzers.
- Maintains and manages analyzer spare parts inventory, including cylinder gas storage rack.
- Provides data logs, maintenance records and reports, as necessary to Formosa Environmental Department.
- Develops, improves, and implements analyzer P.M.s.
- Provides off-hours analytical support to Formosa Operations.
- Fills out all timesheets accurately.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, laws, regulations, and company standards.
- Position requires working 10 hours/days 4 days/ week with scheduled weekend duty. Must be able to work overtime and take call outs when required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 5 years of experience as an Analytical Technician maintaining analytical equipment in the petrochemical industry required.
- Previous demonstrated analyzer experience is required.
- Must have the ability to apply knowledge of electronics, chemistry, physics, mechanics of fluids and chromatography.
- Analytical education and training preferred. Analytical / Instrumentation Collage or Trade School teaching (GC, O2, IR, Moisture, and Analytical Sample Systems).
- Must work well with other and be a team player.
- All successful candidates must be eligible to obtain a TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential).
