We are looking for a forward-thinking Senior Director of Tech Operations with strong technical leadership qualities,product management and process re-engineering experience, who will build and lead our operations re-engineering efforts including redefining the application stack that will improve our efficiency and quality of service to our customers. The scope of the role will be supporting both our operations, compliance and risk organizations in transforming the end-to-end payment and case management processes.
The role requires deep expertise in RPA, BPM and compliance tools, an understanding of architecture patterns and principles, knowledge of modern release management processes, and strong familiarity with end-to-end business process automation and business operations. In addition, change in Risk and Compliance environments necessitates operational stability which is essential for the role. In this role, you will guide the design and development of solutions using commercial and/or open-source technology.
You will be responsible for:
• The strategy, technical direction, and implementation of the overall end-to-end operational process re-design
• Leading transformation programs for end-to-end operational process re-engineering imploring both RPA and BPM, working closely with business operations team members and professional service teams
• Building, managing and leading an in-house engineering & business process re-design team including third-party resources where necessary
• Understanding current processes in operations and ideating on opportunities for improvement, prioritizing initiatives and backlog in collaboration with business counterparts
• Collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team of engineering, product management, and infosec to build the new application stack
• Working with the enterprise architecture team to ensure alignment across business operations technologies and data, and overall product & technology platforms and solutions
• Responsible for recommending, vetting, and technical integrations of other tools supporting business operations
• Serving as the technical expert for RPA,BPM and compliance tools
• The operational health and security of the operations platforms, developing relevant system operations KPIs and metrics
• Leading change across the Operations and Operational Compliance organizations – to help transform ways of working, in an operational stable manner
• Defining and establishing a culture of efficient processes and strong transparency
You should apply if you have:
• Experience as an Engineering Senior Director or Director who has led a large team of both business managers and engineers – experience in financial service/fintech sector is highly desired
• Experience in implementing and managing RPA,BPM and compliance platforms on the scale of an employee base in the thousands and a customer base in the tens of thousands
o hands-on experience in an RPA tool like UiPath
o hands-on experience in a BPM tool like Camundao hands-on experience with compliance technology e.g., sanctions screening and suspicious transaction monitoring tools
• Experience with modernizing legacy processes and systems and/or ground-up build and launch of new products
• Experience in software development and managing change through SDLC processes
• Knowledge of AWS cloud services and ability to develop solution architecture using native cloud services
• Collaborative working style to be able to partner with technology and business stakeholders across the organization and influence technology decisions
• Experience leading multiple projects including experience in managing team efforts, processes, and technologies throughout project full life cycles
• A strong track record of executing in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical skills with an emphasis on data-driven decision making
• Strong oral and written communication with excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and interact efficiently with cross-functional leaders and all internal and external stakeholders
