0502 Buidling Site Facilities Officer

Coordinates the day-to-day administrative and facilities services on site in compliance to the departmental procedures implemented. Responsible on the development and implementation of Alta Resources’ Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) for employees and other staff. Coordinates with partner vendors involved in promoting health and safety of the entire site.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

•Manage all Alta Resources facility related concerns, ensure physical resource coordination including workstation allocation, meeting rooms and locker distribution.

•Coordinate any building contract maintenance and repair including services like air conditioning, security systems, elevators, utilities and fire safety equipment as needed.

•Serves as the site Safety Officer, handles coordination with government agencies such as Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of Health (DOH) and Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) for statutory and regulatory requirements.

•Ensures that the company is compliant to its obligation aligned to health, safety and work welfare.

•Conducts routine inspection and evaluation of workplace safety and hazards following the safety standards as advised by DOLE, DOH and PEZA.

•Maintains and manage compliance of all documentation aligned with health and safety inspections, audits and keep training records of the same compiled and secured.

•Ensures that Health and Safety Meetings, Trainings and Emergency Response Team Drills are scheduled and conducted guaranteeing workplace environment is without risk to health.

•Management of onsite maintenance staff, ensuring cleanliness, organization and compliance to housekeeping standards set by the company.

•Advise PH Management Committee of any issues within the organization that may require immediate attention.

MINIMUM COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

Education:Bachelor's degree is required; preferably in Engineering or Healthcare duly licensed to practice in the Philippines

Work Experience:Experience as Safety Officer 3 or any related field required for the role.

Certifications / Licenses:Basic Occupational Safety & Health (BOSH) Training/Certification

ADDITIONAL SKILLS

TECHNOLOGY SKILL BASE

This position requires a working knowledge of computer technology that includes: Windows, PowerPoint, Advanced Word and Excel. Individuals must possess the ability to learn and understand new software and other technology applications as introduced by the Client and Alta Resources.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for up to eight hours, and stand. Manual dexterity which allows the individual to use hands to type on a keyboard, use a mouse and write are required, as is the ability to talk, and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
