Business Team Assortment Planning Rep
Summary
The role of the Assortment Planning Rep is to assist with the planogramming and shelf level assortments for an assigned group of accounts or trade classes. This position will involve many work activities including, but not limited to: planogram creation utilizing Spaceman software, account POS and Nielsen data, creating product assortment sets to comply with account reset cycles and client promotional cycles, creating various proposals and submissions to support the sales process, creating and maintaining a variety of title lists (seasonal, genre, drafting) for account and 3rd party merchandisers. The goal of this position is to drive new distribution of existing products, ensure timely placement of New Release product to maximize revenue and profitability for the account.
Essential Duties & Responsibility
Other duties may be assigned.
· Assists with the development of plan-o-grams for US and Canada Distribution Accounts
· Develops plan-o-grams utilizing Spaceman Software system
· Develops various title lists based off account requests
· Keep current of industry trends
· Assists Field Reps with the development of ASAPs (Account Specific Additional Promotion)
· Assists Field Reps with product selection for customers focusing on catalog and rebate opportunities
· Utilizes market and Nielsen data to determining best product mix for US Distribution customers
· Coordinates plan-o-gram change out 3-4 times per year with weekly plan-o-gram updates
· Regular attendance, punctuality and adherence to agreed-upon schedule of availability are conditions of employment and essential function of this position.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School degree or equivalent (GED, HSED) required; Bachelor's or Associates degree preferred.
Two years sales or analytical experience required.
Advanced Excel skills required.
TECHNOLOGY SKILL BASE
This position requires a working knowledge of computer technology that includes: Intermediate Word, PowerPoint, and Advanced Excel skills. Individuals must possess the ability to learn and understand new software and other technology applications as introduced by the Client and Alta Resources.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete
variables
