Human Resources Receptionist
The main responsibilities of this position include being the first point of contact for visitors, vendors, clients and job applicants. This role will be performing a variety of administrative functions in addition to receiving the public and providing customer assistance.
In order to provide adequate coverage, the incumbent must be able to work 40 hours per week between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
Essential Duties & Responsibility
Other duties may be assigned.
Maintains confidentiality of all information handled
Welcome on-site visitors, determine nature of business, and announce visitors to appropriate personnel
Answer questions about organization and provide callers with address, directions, and other information
Monitor visitor access and issues passes when required
Display original and creative thinking through innovative suggestions for improving work and alternative solutions to problems
Assist with New Hire Orientation, employee documentation and personnel files
Process employee badges, replacement badges and temporary badges
Prioritize work activities to complete work in a timely manner
Perform other clerical duties for the HR Department and other corporate departments as required
Regular attendance, punctuality and adherence to agreed-upon schedule of availability are conditions of employment and essential function of this position.
Ensures all Belize labor laws are enforced

This job has no supervisory or leadership responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent (GED, HSED) required. One year related experience required.
TECHNOLOGY SKILL BASE
This position requires a working knowledge of computer technology that includes: Windows, PowerPoint, Advanced Word and Excel. Individuals must possess the ability to learn and understand new software and other technology applications as introduced by the Client and Alta Resources.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
