Location: remote position based in continental USA

 

Responsibilities:    

  • Documents solution and provides quality documentation in our Custom Solution’s format to facilitate quick kick-off of the solution as it transitions into a live project.
  • May act as project lead on smaller engineering projects from time to time, developing skills related to outlining project requirements, design constraints, objectives, methods and materials used.
  • Identifies risks associated with the custom solution. Plans & executes actions to mitigate these risks to ensure a problem-free installation.
  • Maintain installation schedule and work directly with customer on open action list while on site.
  • Attending customer site visits, customer installations and entertaining customers for factory visits.
  • Follows predefined process.
  • Make suggestions for improvements.  Involved in process / standards improvements initiatives. 
  • Responsible for the conceptual and detailed design and development of technical display solutions including video processing, computers, AV and control.
  • Responsible for coordinating the subject matter experts to complete the detailed design and testing of the solution.
  • Present designs to client during design reviews to ensure solution as designed continues to meet client’s needs. Also capture client feedback and action appropriately.
  • Take ownership of design/technical issues until resolved and involved subject matter experts as required.
  • There is approximately 50% travel in this position.

The experience and skills we value: 

  • 5+ years of relevant engineering or technical project management experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in product specification and budget analysis
  • Previous experience delivering solutions in the field.
  • Ability to balance multiple active projects across multiple teams
  • Experience working as part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary project team
  • Aptitude for hands on building and testing of parts and assemblies
  • Experience designing and installing customized product solutions
  • Experience working closely with customers
  • Being a self-starter and self-sufficient are key
  • An exceptional team player 

What will put you ahead: 

 

  • Engineering design tools / applicable discipline specific skills (eg. Visio, MS Excel)
  • Must be able to guide conversation to develop requirements of the solutions and developing a solution to meet these requirements.
  • Must be capable of integrating software and hardware at an advanced integrator level.
  • Hands-on familiarity with servers, OS's, IG’s, interactive systems, switches, control systems etc.
  • Aptitude for resolving complex hardware and software integration issues.
  • Basic skills/training in managerial, communication, product costing
  • Ability to present to large audiences consisting of both Christie and customer participants.
  • Ability to lead a technical team when dealing with difficult technical requirements.
  • Must be able to effectively manage onsite contractors to complete installation tasks.
  • Capable of using tests, measurement, and laboratory equipment relevant to discipline.
